Welcome to National Nutrition Week 2024. Here we are looking at the B Vitamins.
The B vitamins comprise of a group of water-soluble vitamins. The B vitamins perform essential, closely inter-related roles in cellular functioning.
Their collective effects include anabolic and catabolic metabolism, energy metabolism, synthesis and repair of DNA and RNA, genomic and non-genomic methylation, brain function, and the synthesis of numerous neurochemicals and signalling molecules.
Optimum nutrition is the foundation of optimum physical and mental health and wellbeing.
